G-411

Generator pentode of indirect glow

A rare lamp of its kind is a beam pentode. At one time it was used in the line and
frame scans of the TV T-1 “Leningrad”. The design is similar to the G-807. It has two control grids, designed for
use in transmitting devices, in order to combine
the terminal stage of the transmitter and the AM modulator in “one cylinder”.
The peculiarity is that the control grid is not output through the base, but
through the cap on the side of the lamp. The second cap is the anode, located normally
at the top. The base is non-standard, similar to the octal, but much larger.
Judging by the reference book, there were also G-412 and G-413, similar to this lamp.
